One day I got a call from Anne. A client had referred her to me. Anne lived with her husband and two children in a large house in one of Maryland’s best neighborhoods. She asked to meet me at her house for our first consultation.

I visited Anne around midday on a Wednesday. Although it was a beautiful, well-appointed house, I felt a distortion in the energy flow as I came in. As we sat and talked over a cup of tea, I explained to her what I do and how I work. She was very happy to learn about how feng shui could help her and her family. She was also happy to learn that I could involve feng shui with design, especially because she was looking to do some redecorating. She wondered if she would have to decorate her house in Asian style for feng shui to work. I explained, “Feng shui could be incorporated into any style of decorating, not just Asian.”

After gathering all the information necessary, I developed recommendations to help her and her family with their specific goals. She asked for my help with shopping and implementing the cures.

In a matter of weeks the house was completely transformed. She was very happy and at peace in the new reconfiguration. Her relationship with her husband and children had improved dramatically. A month after placing the cures, she reported that the family planned to go on vacation together for the first time in years!
